When you come back to play again. After playing a few matches, you will feel a "momentum" building up. Then you will realize that " oh, I'm f√ckin owning these guys. I'm Godlike!!.
You'll be fine. A few games of DM before your first comp and you'll be good as gold. If you take a week or two off, you wont derank, you wont lose your skill - but you will enjoy the game more, you'll be rid of a lot of stress and you will be relaxed and happy.
If anything, a break will only do you good.
Just a tip coming from a guy, present since 1.6 :)
