Usually the opponents give a clear indication, like if u meet almost full stacks of a single rank higher than you, you are near a rank up. There is no other way.

Same goes for the opposite OP. play against a common lower rank, close to a derank. In either situation depending if you lose/win and MVP's will determine your rank.

Valve's matchmaking is really broken recently so that doesnt really apply. I am GNM and have been winning matches with fullpacks of MG I's for a full week now. Allways finishing from first to second position in the leaderboard usually with the most MVP's in my team. But still no rank up. Also as an example for how broken the valve's matchmaking system is, yesterday i got a full pack of DMG's and of course i finished 4th instead of 1st to 2nd... I was the only GNM in the lobby... so you can't really rely on your enemies ranks. I mean, come on, nobody ranked up from Gold Nova Master to Distinguished Master Guardian right?

It generally means that they are just premades. There is no way that in your games you, as a silver 3 get placed with Master Guardians which are at least 8 ranks above you and high silvers, with no very low silver players in the other team or your own

afaik grenades contain thermite which is VERY hot, also Mollys are hot too, flames are a big giveaway. Oh! Also bullets get quite hot too.
