PACKET LOSS 1-5% constant ????!!!
*Edit seems more people have this problem PLEASE send TICKET to the Steam support so they recognize this. You can enable net_graph 1 via console or config file.



Any ideas ? net_graph shows me a constant packet loss of 1-5% in Competetive MM

Ping 11 - 25
Internet UNITY *** MEDIA
LAN CABLE 50M
120K Connection

A lot of variables to consider.
  • Bad Cables
  • Firewall
  • VPN
  • ISP
  • Router
  • Modem
  • Faulty Hardware
  • interference in the line
  • Wifi interference

Lot more possibilities than just the listed, but these are the most common reasons.

its your internet connection, ask your ISP if you are positive its not in your home network

I have this since the last two csgo updates so i thought it has smth to do with that ... but ... now im not shure. Some ppl. reported about general Problems with Unitymedia

I have constant 5% of packet loss BUT, only on MM servers. Community and Faceit are just fine. WTF!?

Go in a comp wait for it to lag , open console , Type Status , find yourself in list , check your Rate it needs to be 128000 or above

SAME i tested it all ... now my ISP said they fixed the problems with their network maybe they lie or are just inkompetent ..... but it seems that Packetloss is only at official MM Servers.

Valve isnt aware of this Problem ? Please send a TICKET to teach them thank you.

At the time i created this thread it was Valve Server issue, but often its a broken LAN Cable or an issue with your provider.

If you can NEVER USE Cable provider for Gaming ! Use ADSL !

:winter2019joyfultearsyul: after a big storm and it still persist ? Hasnt to do smth on your site contact your ISP and let them check the node maybe the cable to your house is broken
