Why do so many Russians play this game?

There is a least 1 russian per lobby. I meet English people 1 in every 20 games. Not even hating. Russia has such a small population relative to Europe, and the Russians are like 20-30+... do they have Jobs?

1 in every 20 games? What server are you playing on? If it's EU NORTH then it's clear as to why you're getting "russians" in all matches, because you are playing on the servers closest to them.

Increase your ping limit and play on EU WEST, you will encounter far less "russians" there.

Russians play CSGO because it lets them have fun after work, school, or whatever. Just like what Americans do. The Russians of CSGO are fun to play with and I have many memories playing with them.

I think there's the simple fact of the price of the game combined with reasonable hardware requirements. The Russian economy is very heavily divided and the average earner isn't earning anywhere near what you'd expect to earn in Western Europe. This also shows in the high Russian populations of many f2p games. Frankly I don't mind them too much in most cases, I just tell them "rush B blyat" and we shake hands. The only problems arise when there's 4 of them and they often neglect to speak English.
