Silver Hell

I've got 666 hours logged on csgo and I've been stuck in silver hell for over a year. K/D in comp games is a solid 2, winning streaks of 5+ get ruined by one or two losses (last game lost my streak of 5, I top fragged with 30 kills and 7 mvp, no rank up in sight). I have 89 comp wins, I practice pretty regularly on a workshop map and deathmatch, I've stopped playing dust II altogether, and I can honestly say I am leagues better than I was when I first started playing. But my rank doesn't reflect it. Most recent rank up was after an 8 game winning streak and that was to Silver 3... Should I cave in and pay someone to boost me? Comp is no longer fun for me at this level.

Anyone else hate their rank?

Hey, I've gotten out of it, and so can you. With only 89 comp wins, you obviously haven't played much comp, which I strongly recommend if you want to rank up.

You're right, i know, its just not fun carrying all the time. I stopped playing comp for a while and stuck to deathmatch and arms race when the last ranking update deranked me from silver elite to silver 2

I'd say que with people in advance that use mics and have decent game sense, it's alot better than taking the chance of going solo with people that can't hold their own in most cases. I bet you could find steam groups or even ask people you played in previous comp games to play another with you that you liked. Or go the patient route and wait a month for your rank to disapear and win a game to possibly get a higher rank kappa

Is it actually possible for you to get ranked up like that? I lost my rank last summer and won 2 matches and got placed right back in the same one

when the rank adjustment came(when I only just completed 10 wins and got nova4),I was thrown to silver elite.
then I literally gone through a full win streak stomping them till I reach nova4 again.soloqueued.
