also, play on a resolution you feel good with. i play native 1080P and im global elite.
resolution doesnt make you any better. 4:3 makes your FOV a bit less, meaning you can shoot distant targets easier without need to practice it more than in 1080p. 1080p requires even more precision in distant shooting, but is more aware of the surrounding area in 16:9.
4:3 was good back in the day because it actually HAD advantage in CS 1.6. Now pro's use 4:3 because theyre used to it, they dont want to re-learn playing on 1080p. Some of them did, and it took them a really long while to get back in proscene.
