AMD Radeon R7 settings (low fps/stutter/lag)

I got a new pc, which can run rust, dayz standalone, and unturned all at 40+ fps, on fairly high settings. Curious why my cs go is only running at 60 in game, when all settings are on low. I would be fine if it was a solid 60 fps, with occasional times it goes higher, however it is the opposite. Everything is on low, I tried to optimize the AMD control panel as best I know how, however I am having frame drops, stutters, etc. Also is there a way to keep the fan on, on a laptop? As I am using a HP pavilion. Thanks!

All settings in game are on low
Resolution is 1024x 768 4:3 stretched

an easy sign that your CPU isn't fast enough to run the game is by dropping the settings as low as they can go, setting your resolution to the lowest, and checking your FPS. if it's still too low, your CPU is probably not enough for the game.

lmao, r7 is so trash. If you have to use 1024x768 but still get bad fps then you NEED to get a better gpu. If your pc can't more than 10 players at once at 100 fps then you need a new gpu.

This is all I have right now. Find it funny now dayz *standalone runs well for the pc, yet cs go struggles lol

I'm having the same problem, but it started a month ago. Before I had 300+ fps, and now stands between 60-100.
Yes, you can play, but I did not understand the reason for the drop.
ps: This only happens in CS:GO, in the other games is normal.

Ignore that person his E-winki3 is small so he has to rage at people who dont spend or have $ to use for gaming anyway this game is HORRIBLY optimized but they get away with it because its an old engine old game etc but the worst thing is the AA in this game turn it off for sure and your rig should run this just fine at that res make sure shaders are on medium vs high its a big difference it looks worse but that'll give you lots of fps if it makes you feel better my 670m i7 laptop runs 100+ fps on 1080 and dips below 60 when in smoke its just this game is bad.

Yeah thats due to fps lag you need at least 120 id say to be smooth I get lots of screen tearing unless at 300 fps on my main rig and to me vs source this game feels sluggish moving the mouse in general hope this helps

If my 350 dollar pc can crush this game then you really can't say it's "horribly optimized" Just because a game is supposedly more cpu instenive doesn't mean your i7 will carry an r7 240 with 300 fps. It still has to load 3d models. Of course, I have no clue about cpu crap but what I do know is that they both have their rolls and you can't let one carry the other.

But a month ago I played with 300+ fps, but now it's only 100-120. And also no matter what "video settings", in low quality or high quality, fps is the same, ALWAYS.

lol doesn't happen with me, i have the same a12 9700p and radeon r7 and i run the game at 60-100fps 1366x768
