[SOLVED] CSGO not launching

Never come across this problem before.

I've just finished reinstalling CSGO after uninstalling a long time ago, and for some reason it just doesn't launch.

What happens is that when you click play, it would say "preparing to launch". Then on task manager, CSGO.exe would run for about 10-15 seconds before it just disappears. No window, no black screen, nothing.

Here's what I've tried.

• Restarting Steam
  
• Restarting PC
  
• Verifying integrity of game cache
  
• Changing compatibilty mode to "Windows 7"
  
• Running on administrator mode
  
• Reinstalling the whole game, again
  
• Adding CSGO to AV exclusions
  
• Adding any Steam related processes to AV exclusions
  
• Reinstalling Steam
  
• Killing as much processes that might cause problems
  
• Deleting config.cfg, video.cfg and videodefaults.cfg
  
• Stopping WMI service

I don't think the specs of my PC is the problem, although it's old, it was able to run it before I uninstalled and reinstalled. OS is Windows 10 Pro.

EDIT: HERE'S THE SOLUTION [Thanks to the guy named Sir]

Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\WBEM\. Right click on fastprox.dll, click Properties, click Security tab, click Advanced, click Change (near the top of the window), Enter your Windows login name, click Check Names to make sure it's correct, click OK, OK, OK. Then, rename fastprox.dll to something like fastprox.dllold.

Just give every entity listed full rights, not just reading and executing.

I tried that fastprox.dll thing , did not work. This game worked before on my system but not working now.

holy crap, been playing cs since beta 6, havent been able to logon for months and this fix worked. ty
