Having issues with autoexec
Can I get some help setting up an autoexec? I have all the commands I want executed in the autoexec.cfg, and then I went to the Launch Options and typed "+exec autoexec.cfg". I don't think the game recognizes the config, as when I go to execute it in console manually, it doesn't say "execing config autoexec.cfg" in response to me typing in "exec autoexec.cfg, like it's supposed to. I even tried doing it the old way, where you typed "exec autoexec.cfg" into your config file, and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Have you tried it without the .cfg in console? Also what commands do you notice not take effect? Can you screenshot the autoexec and post it up with a link? I would be more than happy to help and determine if something is wrong with it. Also let me know what folder it is in.

1. Just tried it without .cfg at the end. This was the result: "can't exec autoexec
2, None of the commands work.
3. I can post a photo but if you only want it to see whether or not I have host_writeconfig at the bottom, the answer is yes.
4. It is in 2 folders right now, I have tried it in each one and neither worked.

Just wanted to check the format and make sure that everything was done alright. Make sure its in the correct folder or it wont work. It goes into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg

It is in the folders Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/cfg as well as Steam/userdata/ID/730/local/cfg. My config.cfg is in the 2nd one.

Make sure you don't have a config.cfg file in Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/cfg
I don't have a config.cfg there.

Make sure the extension is actually .cfg and not .txt. Also, the file format might need to be UTF-8.
It is a cfg file. At this point is it safe to say that I can delete the autoexec that I have at Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/cfg?

Yes, it can be deleted.

What are you using to edit the autoexec.cfg file?
I'm just using notepad. Is there a better option?

Also, worth noting that the current encoding is ANSI, not Unicode or UTF-8

Just did that. Still doesn't seem to be working, although now it at least can recognize the autoexec in console

I like Notepad++ but Notepad works. Try this. Open autoexec.cfg in Notepad. Select File, Save As, and then at the bottom right of the window, you should see an option to change the format to UTF-8. Save as UTF-8.

Forgot all about that haha, good catch :)

I only put the one-line radar command in and now it works. Now it's time to figure out the others. THANKS!!!!!

Maybe the issue is with multiple commands? does it work if you have 2+ commands in the same autoexec?

That part should not matter, it will just run them twice. It most likely did not like a command that was entered somewhere. Just make sure its properly formatted and all the commands are working okay.
