Why do you need a phone number for prime

How about you ask any of your FRIENDS/FAMILY who have a phone and use theirs, you legit only need once, never touch it again.

Simple get the phone, ask for prime, enter the verification code, done.

Get a simple phone then like a flip phone. Consumer cellular might be an ok plan while some other carriers have very cheap flip phone plans.

Once that is done, try using bluestacks. Its a pc app that emulates an android phone. Just link your phonenumber to your csgo account. Then go to bluestacks and download the steam app. Activate the mobile authenticator then add your number to prime. I did this a few years ago when I had a flip phone. This allows prime and mobile authenticator without a smart phone. If you can't get a phone nunber, ask your parents if you can borrow their number. As if you have mobile authenticator using bluestacks, you won't have to recieve codes via text anymore.

Most functionalities on Steam (including the Market) as well as games like CS:GO are meant for an adult audience. Usually, those people do have smartphones.
