No sound in CS:GO

So I launch the game just to realise I have no sound yet I can hear people in discord, so I attempt to adjust sound settings, reinstall my sound card drivers, try a different pair of speakers and headset to no avail, and today I found out I get sound from the browser in the steam overlay just not in the game itself. Please help! I cant play without sound.

Thanks, i fixed the problem by disable the mic. i can't use the mic right now so i guess i'll need to buy a new one.

i just opened today csgo connected headphones and what a surprise, no sound, cant hear anything, cs go sounds no discord friend voices. please help me. i tried to reinstal csgo, didnt work

go to sound settings on your pc and adjust the input/output to the correct settings

Close Csgo then boot it up again but with your headphones connected
I had a problem with the sound where when my headphones disconnect, the sound turns off

Ok, I tried to solve this issue for about 5 hours now... I cannot promise that this will work for everybody, but the reason why it did not work for me was because of the "Audio Device" setting. For some reason it only had "Primary device" as an option, which I believe is the reason as to why there is no audio whatsoever. The way I solved this was to open settings on windows > sound > manage sound devices - and disabled absolutely everything except the headphones that I use to play. After a quick restart I was relieved to hear the (actually not so pleasant) menu theme. Taking a look at my audio settings, the "Audio Device" has automatically set to my headset.
It was really frustrating to go through this and figure it out on my own (since I didn't find any comment that had this approach). I hope to everyone who is experiencing this issue that this helps, im sorry if it doesn't, good luck friends ;D

I was so close to just giving up on my life, i tried many fixes, and the i realised i have volumne 0 in console :/

If y'all still having issues - one solution I found was if you go to settings in csgo > Audio > Audio Output Configuration > Switch from Stereo Speakers To Stereo Headphones - ♥♥♥♥ just magically works again lol. CSGO Gets drunk alot
