Lagging with low ping.
In CSGO, since yesterday, for NO REASON WHATSOEVER, I have been constantly lagging with low ping, I kill someone and it takes a second for the dink to actually hit and kill, my guns hardly change and people are teleporting.

I have tried these:

- Verified game 5 times, 1 time a file was corrupted and fixed, still lagging.
- Reinstalled game, still lagging.
- Did multiple console commands relating to lag and spikes and ping, didn't work.
- Restarted computer twice...GUESS WHAT?? DIDN'T WORK!

It is O N L Y on CSGO, and it's starting to piss me off, as to why N O T H I N G is working at all.

sounds like frame spikes. if so, it means your hardware isn't handling the game properly and has nothing to do with lag

@grandpathad

Any ideas on how to fix that? I am having the same issue and just want to play honestly.

Something is wrong with your machine, I don't know how to fix the problem you have but It's something to do with your computer, like Grandpa Thad said, your hardware isn't handling the game properly.

could be any number of issues. possibly a bad memory stick, but that almost always prevents your computer from booting up in the first place. Most likely a recent update has put a lot more strain on your video card. what video card are you using and how much RAM do you have? also, what graphics options are you running? start out by running everything on the lowest settings, if nothing changes then it's not your vidcard. if the frame spikes go away then you're stuck playing on low resolutions or getting a new card.

also, when I say low settings i'm talking about the resolution. I have a 1060 but i play on 4:3 with 1280x1024, which gives me around 280 fps with very little deviation.

also, go into a casual game and type "net_graph 1" into console. It will give you a readout of your fps performance. I'm sure you can find a youtube video detailing what all the numbers mean.

i just checked net_graph and the 2nd number is labeled VAR which is the variance in your frame rates. go into an offline 10v10 casual mode game with bots. kick all the bots on your team and then charge the other team. if your frames stutter as the 10 bots appear quickly on your screen then it means your video card is not handling CS well at your set graphics options. as before, if this is what happens then you either need to lower your resolution and graphics options or get a new video card.

you can get a really nice after market video card for under 100 bucks that should give you a solid 100 fps with at least medium graphics settings.

more detail: when the bots quickly enter your screen some of them should start throwing nades which puts instance burden on your card. if you see the number labled VAR spiking thats another indication its the video card.

I play on low resolution with max graphics since I first had the game over a year ago, my computer is 8 GB Ram, if it's my hardware then why did it JUST START a few days ago? When before that it was running fine? Also I have an NVIDIA GTX 970

I kind of feel like that's the problem, while my browser runs fine, whenever I talk on Skype, my friends voice is constantly cutting out and sounds like a robot. And download speed went from 13 Megabytes per second to 4. And I don't think it's framing, as when I dink someone, it takes another second for them to die.

another thought is that something may be up with your wifi. i play with my computer hardwired into my router, no wifi.
