Are every knives the same rarity?
Hello hello,
Was just wondering if all knives are the same rarity and prices differences comes from the amount of demands on those knives. For example, is a gut as rare as a karambit but people prefer by far karambit so this one is more expensive ?
Also, same for skins of those knives (without the pattern/float rarity, just skins drop rate)?

I didn't find any info on Google, if anyone knows I'd like to know :)
Thanks!

No i think more expensive knifes is harder to get allthou the % is same on all of them but its more on c r ap y knife side

no they are not, whatever knife you want to know its value search the knife name on google and then type steam anaylist, it will show you how many keys the knife is worth thats the true value of the knife based on how it sold ever since it came out, the price of the knife is not determined by the lowest price available because that is called quicksell

Karambits are not rarer than Gut Knifes, for example. They are simply worth more because people like Karambits way more than Gut Knifes.

It's about supply/demand, there's a much higher demand for M9's, Karambits etc than there is for Gut Knife/Flip Knife. THAT is why the price is higher.

Some patterns (for example a doppler ruby) are rare and some float values aswell (for example a night FN)
Other than these things it is the same %

Thanks DFUZE that's the info I was looking for, and that's what I thought :)
I knew about prices Dopamine but I think my English is quite bad my first post wasn't precise enough!

And yeah that's why I said without considering float and pattern, so I can say my gut fire and ice 0.004fv is quite rare even if not that expensive :P

Yeah but when I took the night as an example I chose carefully because that skin is hard to get in FN because the float max is something like 0.1
Your float value doesn't make your skin more rare than an other. It makes it more valuable but not more rare

only scammes talk about float and pattern

Yeah I figured you meant solely the knife models, meaning the chances of getting a Gut Knife or Karambit would be about the same or not.

Yeah lowest float on nights, crimson webs, ultraviolet are capped at 0.06.
It don't makes it more rare but at least cleaner :)

Not really. Slaughter and Case Hardened, for example really do have common and rare patterns that people legitimately care about.
