Have i screwed my 2nd playthrough?
I started all the BL games over again, due to having hit an miss on DLC's and having the original BL1 and only 1 DLC.
So when the entire collection plus all DLC was on sale, i got it and started over, with BL1.

So far so good, except...

I'm on playthrough 1, i've done the story, the side missions, the DLC, robbed the armory blind etc, im level 46 and XP has kind of gone down to nearly nothing.

And i mentioned it to someone, looking for a suggestion of a place to get some XP because 46 wont get you 3 seconds with Crawmerax.

And they said
Oh my god, you are level 46? How?? You are overleveled! Go start playthrough 2 right away.

Ok, so i did.
So far though i am like 10 levels above everything coming at me.
It's kind of like being a Terminator, i do get XP for the missions though.

Have i ruined playthrough 2, or will it start scaling up to me?
I tried wearing some crappy armor, but it only helps so much.

it'll eventually catch up, but the game only goes to 69 (nice)
once you beat the story, i believe the whole game scales up at least to closer to your level (it's been a while)

Hermano, finish Playthrough 2. After that you’ll have the ability to select Playthrough 2.5 in the menu which ISN’T a new Playthrough, it scales everything to your level.
When The Vault is first entered in Playthrough 2, all enemies throughout Pandora will see their level increased to 48-52. Items will likewise be encountered at maximum levels, with the vast majority being level 48. This setting is frequently referred to by the player community as "Playthrough 2.5" or "Playthrough 2+". The goal of this world modification is to allow players to fight balanced enemies anywhere.

Playthrough 2.5 is unlocked as soon as the mission Find Steele completes upon entering the Vault. Killing the Destroyer, or leaving it alone, has no effect on this global difficulty change

Doesn’t matter, just do the main missions then.

EDIT: or, I guess if you’re into modding and WillowTree, you can customize your level to match. If you really dont wanna be that overleveled.

I will skip all side missions, and kill as many as possible by driving over them since that only gives 1xp, and see if i can slow things down some.

I was going after Sledge and felt like Scarface on the way there.

joo wan a war? i gif joo a war, say hello to my leettle friend!

The game will automatically transfer you to Playthrough 2.5 after you beat The Destroyer(Main Story's Final Boss) in Playthrough 2.
It means that:
-All quests and enemies now scale to your level
-You get better loot from chests
-You can finally start to farm bosses and mini-bosses(they drop unique weapons or just have a higher chance to drop an equipment with cool effect)

Playthrough 2.5 (in my opinion) is the best way to experience the DLCs. Have fun! :cleancake:

Oh, i forgot to mention that Crawmerax ALWAYS has higher level than you and he's a real pain in the ass if you wanna solo him(if you are brick or roland it will be impossible to defeat him without cheesing the battle)

Well of course i am Brick LoL

Dont think cheesing Crawmerax works too well any more though.
I visited him just for giggles

He sees you as soon as the platform hits the top, and his minions beeline you before you can make it to the ledges, probably have to play ring around the pillars.

Its good that you're higher level. If you want all the SDU slots in playthrough 2, you need to get the ones in the dlc before the killing rakk hive in the main story. Sledge's Safe House, Lost Cave, New Haven, Tetanus Warren, Earl's Scrapyard, Lumber Yard (Zombie Island) and "Its a Trap...Clap" in Tartarus Station. If you get a grenade instead of sdu, exit without saving and try again.

I think you meant "Alt+F4 out of the game"

backpack slots probably wont be an issue.
I do not tend to carry a lot
I usually keep my best shotgun, best combat rifle i can find, and then what ever turns out to be best elemental wise regardless of weapon type
Then one rocket launcher, and a sniper rifle, though brick does not excel at being a sniper.

everything else gets fed into the vending machines

I opened the vault in PT2
then i fast traveled to zombie island
The scaling seems to work, the zombies are now higher level than me.

At the rate it is dropping XP, without even doing the quests, just shooting zombies, i dont think it will take too long to be max level, and then we shall see about Mr Crawmerax
