Stupid question maybe RE: GOTY edition

I have both borderlands GOTY edition as well as GOTY edition enhanced. Is it safe to remove the plain GOTY game from my library? Enhanced does not reference the original GOTY folder?

By "different games completely," he means both versions are in different directories, and so are user profiles and save data; uninstalling the "vanilla" edition will have absolutely no impact on the enhanced one. XP, game progress, and inventory of BGOTYE are all independent of any edition that you do or do not have installed.

It is perfectly safe to uninstall the older game.
