Advice on a melee/smg lilith build?

Is it possible to make an smg lilith that deals decent melee damage coming out of phasewalk at least ? Im aiming to finish 1 playthrough and all dlcs, maybe a bit of playthrough 2, but nothing crazy, maybe lvl 50 or 55, then i move on to bl2.

Definitely put skill points into the Assassin skill tree (+600% melee damage and phasewalk lasts longer, plus each kill reduces the cooldown of your skill. Also each kill can increase weapon damage for a few seconds, +critical damage too). I have a similar build you’re going for but it might not be for your play style. Also put points into the first skill tree cause of reduced cooldown, +shields, health regen while phasewalk is active. I didn’t bother much with the middle skill tree, I maxed out the skill that increases elemental effect chance though (for SMGs that might come in handy). I highly recommend getting a hellfire SMG, does wonders with most enemies. And a double anarchy won’t hurt either. Class mod should be a Mercenary one for ammo regen on SMGs + weapon damage.
It's kinda hard to explain, I have a screenshot of the skill trees I put points into, but not sure that'd do anything. The point is, put points into the Assassin tree, that'll give you the +melee damage you're hoping for.
