Any new ideas to bring back the original Angel videos?

Has there been any updates about replacing the new version of Angel (the ugly blocky, blue HD one based on Borderlands 2) with the original lifelike one? I've searched the net, and have found no sign that anything was ever done.

I personally tried converting all 19 of the original Blink videos in the Movies folder which contained Angel from the original .BIK files to the GOTY Enhanced .BK2, then replaced the new ones, but it just crashes the game when you try to select a new character.

If you load a previous save, then it doesn't crash, but her videos no longer appear (the vocal audio still plays fine).

Restoring the original Borderlands 2 Angel was easy with the downloadable fix, but I have no clue what to do with this one. I know it's probably hopeless, but I thought I'd check one last time.
