Game doesnt open! (SOLVED)
Anyone having the same problem?

( I5 4440 / GTX1050 / 12GB / W10 )
I try verify cache already didnt work.

EDIT !

Solved my problem!!!

I remember when i got the same problem on Killing floor 2 and try the same way to fix it and it works!!!

1º: You need to download depends (It's a program the you can run .exe of your game and see wich .dll have problems or are missing! ill explain better below)
2º: Open Depends > File> Open > Borderlands GOTY
3º Wait till its complete a box will popup just press OK
4º Find " Module " and scroll down (Ignore all API). You need to find some .dll that have a red box on the left side, when you find it you need to go to: https://pt.dll-files.com and download the .dll
When you download all .dll that are missing/broken on your game
Go to C:/ STEAM ..... BorderlandsGOTY > BINARIES > WIN64 And paste all .dll you have download and you are done!!! your game should open now!!!
(I hope this thing is understandable bc my english r not that good!!!)

To help you guys, ill paste .dll that was missing in my case!

IEFRAME.DLL
KERNEL32.DLL
MSVCRT.DLL
SHCORE.DLL
SHLWAPI.DLL
D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL
D3DX11_43.DLL
DBGHELP.DLL

If you want to download those and try it maybe you can skip all that steps above!

Having this same problem, made even more frustrating by the fact that either yesterday or the day before, the game opened just fine. Now I'm sitting here, stuck with the pre-game splash screen stuck on "Not Responding" and nothing happens.

Same issue for me :/ My PC is within the minimum specs too. My CPU is pretty old, Phenom ii x4, but I've read of other people playing the game with the same processor, so idfk whats up.

Are there any errors on launch?

I had this issue with the launcher not launching. I had Windows Defender going so had to turn real time protection off.

Not to be a jerk but you having a problem does not equate to "SO MANY BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS!!!!"

So far I have'nt had any problems and in general that seems to be the case for most players.

It sucks that your having issues man, I can sympathize. But don't blow things out of proportion.

Have you tried installing the game (and the rest of your steam library) in a location outside of the Program Files directory and or launching the game/steam with admin rights?
That directory has special restrictions that Microsoft programmed into W10 that can sometimes cause problems with games.

You may also want to check though your task manager processes tab for any instances of the games launcher that just failed to launch properly. Steam wont let multiple instances of the same executable launch through the library interface and if one is up but not functional it wont appear and will block you from launching the game until the borked process is killed.

I honestly don't because I haven't had any of those issues.

The only time I've had FoV change is when sprinting/using a Catch-A-Ride runners turbo, and that's normal.

All I can suggest is try installing the game outside of your program files directory because your issue of not being able to launch the game is one of the classic effects of using that folder.

Make something up like C:/games and move your steam library there.

Enable the game in your firewall, and make sure your anti virus software isn't blocking the game.
