So they'll update the game to throw ads in but they won't fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ memory leaks. Disgusting.

My STEAM BL GOTY Library page shows RESUME under the update where it normally says PLAY.

It also says 28.17 mb downloaded of 28.17mb

I click resume, it says DOWNLOAD started, then immediate;y pauses and shows the RESUME button again.

files all verified....I cant even bring up the launcher now, to fail to launch.

Sooooo, now I'm a scared worried about updating. I wish there was a way Steam allows me to turn Auto Updates OFF permanently.

This is insane. I just got this and have been trying to play for over a week and they keep breaking it. It was working fine for my first few days and then random updates are absolutely bricking me. I can finally get past the title screen after the update, but I can no longer disable my HUD with the text edit... Just let the game be, it was totally fine before this crap. Let me roll back to the version 2 weeks ago so I can just play

Genius here figured to try uninstalling and reinstalling....it wont reinstall. It stops the DL just before it is finished, and claims a disc write error.

There is nothing wrong with my disc drive. Verified by AVAST system Maintenance.

and they still have not fixed the odd new cursor on the game menu. Whats the point in reporting bugs to these idiots if nothing gets fixed. All this for bloody adverts. Gearbox should go and hide on the Epic store instead and leave Steam. Will never purchase or recommended any of there games again.

lucky if you have BL2 and the Pre Sequel, you can use the BL Hex Editor to remove these ads

You could also just go to your steam folder, find borderlands -> willowgame -> cookedpc -> packages -> interface, and delete "ui_frontend" "ui_frontend_upsell_PC" and the 6 others that mention Upsell_Texture

That also removes the forced AD popping up...luckily the other games this stupid tactic has affected can also be removed in a similar manner. Such a shame that they manage to ruin the previous games and even brick it for some...

Yeah. Breaking the old games, just to try to sell us a new woke groomer game. .... They seem to be quiet desperate, though.

Maybe the Epic exlusive "ransom move" does not pay off as well as they thought.

I wanted to buy this game for under 10 bucks because of that. But putting an ad in my face in the old games makes me despise it even more. If that is even possible.

I think now they have to pay me, to play their game. Because I had to put work in to restore the mods in BL 2. I hate it, if an unnecessary update breaks the mods.

They really should stop doing something that stupid. It only annoys me.
