Also what character are you playing? If Lilith then it's understandable, she's easiest to play and the strongest. Also the most boring. I always kick out Lilith players from my public games.
If you play to the original version, you will have to do all side quest to not be lower lvl than your enemies, and in this enhanced edition, if you do all side quest you will have a bigger level than your enemies.
I don't know why they did this and why didn't speak about it, maybe to make it more "casual".
That's interesting that you mentioned the enhanced version give more xp, perhaps I should have just played the original version. I'll continue for a bit and see how it goes.
Sounds much more interesting to have to be forced to do optionals, some are so easy and the rewards are too low level that there isn't an incentive for me to go back and do them.
If I start playing the original GOTY edition will that be a similar case? Also what improvements have they made? Will some quality of life changes be difficult to go back on. Finally for multiplayer do they have seperate servers for both edition or are they combined?
But you can "do the game" in GOTY and later import your save to the Enhanced edition to play with other players.
In original game, graphics are less beautiful, several video features in less, like FOV, windowed borderlesss... No mini map, old inventory hud, no golden key/chest.
