Class mods broken?
So I just got the mercenary class mod and it has +2 to high velocity and even though I have points in the skill its not showing as 7/5 so is this a visual glitch or are the mods broken? I even tried to reset skills to see if i put only 1-3 points in it if it would go up to 3-5 and it didnt.

So anyone know whats up?

I believe it is a glitch. I have a +3 to short fuse which is at 5/5 and shows 5/5. It reduces the cooldown for my ult and there is a noticeable difference
Yeah I noticed this too with Brick's Berserker class mod with +2 Blood Sport and Endless Rage.

I don't even notice a difference with melee damage either so it may be broken.

In bl1 it never really has had an indicator when tou are over the skillpoints

The original game never displayed skill points beyond 5 whether you had COM bonuses equipped or not. The % of stat increase is still tracked, though. It is not a glitch. You are receiving the bonuses.
Yeah a quick test revealed I was wrong previously, fair enough.

Though you'd think they'd put in the visual indicator of it having an effect on your skills in the Remastered along with the minimap.

I honestly thought it did or that they would update it to show the over cap and bonus like in BL2. Its been so long since I played 1 I wasnt sure but im glad its working like it should even if it doesnt show it.

Are we sure this is not broken? I remember the same glitch in BL1 before the remaster, and just assumed it was a glitch that came up with Windows 10, or something similar, and was just never fixed because the game was so old.

NO it never ever showed more then 5/5

and yea I was really hoping they would have added that feature but they did not so you gotta live with it

bonusses are as usual still applied just not shown

I have skills that are not maxed, but have a point in the skill, so I could see if it raised the number on the character sheet. It does not.

And it will never show 3/5 or 4/5 in a skill if you have 1 or 2 points allocated to the skill with a class mod providing a bonus of +2 or +3.

Class mod bonuses will NEVER show in your skill tree regardless of the amount of points you have invested in it, but the bonuses from class mods will still ALWAYS be applied statistically. If you don't believe me, test it out with a skill and class mod that affects damage and go shoot some enemies.

I swear some of you people never played the original game...

Of course I played the original BL1. My point if you'd read my posts was that it correctly showed pluses to stats in BL2, would have been nice had they corrected this oversight in the enhanced version. I'll take your word that it is not broken, it would just be nice if this were not even a question.

So there is another problem with some of the class mods. Playing as a maxed Siren, and there are some class mods are supposed to give flat weapon damage % and/or magazine capacity increases(Specialist Maliwan Enhancement Mod & Professional Dahl Enhancement Mod to name two specifically). Neither seems to be working. To test this I basically set up the same shot against the same enemies multiple times and the damage buff didn't apply. As for the magazine capacity, it is the same regardless if the mod is equipped. I even counted the rounds fired in case there was a visual glitch and there was no change.

There is a bit of good news is that mods that seems to apply increases to shield capacity and shield regen seem to be working. Also, where the bonus is applied to just one weapon type it seems to be working, For example the Mercenary Class Mod increases SMG damage as it says in the descriptive text.

Another odd case is that the Specialist Maliwan Enhancement Mod(mentioned above) should grant Weapon Damage and Shield Capacity. The damage increase doesn’t work, but the shield increase does. So the mod still has some use, but is not nearly as helpful as would be suggested by the description. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix the problem?

I checked my Professional COM and various others that increase magazine capacity and all of them are working correctly. The damage buff is apparent too. I'm not sure what issue you're having because all is good on my end. Keep in mind bonuses to mag' capacity will not always net you extra rounds if the base amount of the weapon's magazine is already low and the % of increase from your COM isn't high enough to increase it. For example, no amount of bonus from a COM is going to turn a 2-shot revolver or shotgun into a 3 or 4, etc.
