Clean re-install your Nvidia Drivers using this tool: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Look up a guide on youtube if you do not know how to use it.
Tried adding it as an exception to the wirewall both GOTY and the Launcher, nothing.
Copied a DLL and renamed it as instructed in a guide, also nothing.
Not sure why my game is busted suddenly I've launched / opened it multiple times before this happening but it started yesterday. I did do a Disk Cleanup but I'm not sure why that'd bother the game when literally any other game of mine works and I have over 50 installed.
Never do this ♥♥♥♥, it's how you break a game
'\BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced\Binaries'
Then verify your game again.

It's suggested.
I'd also suggest clean installing your GPU drivers as it's an nvidia card so it will have physX.
Really hope Gearbox isn't lazy on this one and we have a patch soon.
But there are many other factors:
-Anti virus
-Corrupted GPU drivers
-Corrupted system files
I'm guessing the guide you linked knows what they are talking about. Because I only know that error from a programming point of view, aka you are accessing some protected memory.
I also sometimes delete files in my %temp% folder but also shouldn't have caused it.
I deleted and verified the cache and it works now. If that problem happens again I'll just redo it I suppose. As long as it doesn't touch my saves or my progress I'm not worried. Much appreciated, _H3X1C
All this time I've been waiting for the files to redownload lmao. Slow ISP isn't the best ISP but all is good now it seems.
Just to confirm, me deleting my binaries folder didn't lose any sort of progress at all right? I know my .sav files are in another older but I just want to be sure.
the fix for me was im on Win 10 and i made the game .exe an exception in Windows Defender.
I change the graphics up to ultra through the launcher, I get general protection fault.
I delete the binaries and verify then launch it (how I fixed it before) and I still get it. Lmao.
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced\Binaries\Win64
Run BorderlandsGOTY.exe
See if that works.
I had to use a shortcut to that file on my desktop to play the game.
