I tried copying various files from the old game into the enhanced version, but it doesn't seem to pick them up. Hopefully someone will release a mod or Gearbox will allow a toggle to revert it to the original inventory list style.
It's ok enough to play the game and compared to all the major improvements to the game it's a trade I'm ok with them doing. It would be more annoying for a brand new game like BL3 but for a remaster, free for many people, of a 10 years old game honestly whining about that is a bit overkill.
It's really not a big deal. Also using the keyboards is a lot more efficient than the mouse in this one menu, it's not intuitive but when you start getting the hang of it it's quite decent.
Anyone is allowed to have an opinion on any change or game system.
This is a discussion forum and the game being free doesn't stop these discussions working both in favor and against game systems and changes made.
Just because it's a small deal to some people who are more familiar with the more recent titles doesn't mean they had a working backpack UI already in Borderlands 1 and this might be viewed as a downgrade to some people.
Anyone is allowed to prefer the larger UI, anyone is allowed to prefer the more compact UI, there is no one in the wrong for either opinion.
I personally dislike these new edgy words like "Whining", "Hating" and "Fanboy". It´s almost always used when a person doesn´t want a discussion, but only wants to discredit other peoples opinions; from both sides of any given argument. Of course these people who are labeled as "whiners" or "fanboys" are automatically wrong.......
And a sentence like "99% of ones opinion is "whining" nowadays".....wow.
I don´t see the "whine" when someone simply points out that he prefers the old UI.
It needlessly prioritizes showing of the guns(that you already saw when picked up) over your ability to sort your inventory.
This isn't a matter of "liking". Its an objective downgrade for a supposedly updated version of the game. Borderlands is heavy on inventory and stat management and as I wrote above this system is designed for a game that has maybe a total of 20-30 items in the entire game. It straightforwardly makes the game worse.
