Can't disable voice chat

Me and my mate have both set it to OFF

Yet we can still hear each other, albeit with a good few seconds delay

Why?

Also massive lag for whoever isn't the host

Same happens for me, and everyone I've talked to, but you can mute them each time you start the game back up, and it accomplishes the same thing. I believe there's a way to do it in game, but I always do it on the lobby screen. The context menu for each person has a "toggle voice mute" item.

Having the same issue. I dont have a mic hooked up and players come on screaming bout 'Dude.. turn yer mic off". I tried explaining about the mute button in the library menu but the jackhols either do want to listen or they have no concept where that is

in willowengine.ini find bHasVoiceEnabled=true and set it to false. then make the ini file read only.

willowengine (found in mydocuments/mygames/ etc), open that with a txt, and find things like: MaxClientRate / ConfiguredInternetSpeed / ConfiguredLanSpeed, etc, and change the numbers acordingly to what you prefare to have as the Host, (make sure it doesn't go over your actual net speed,jaddajadda), This will make the game alot more stable for your friend/s as they are connecting to your game. (i dont know exactly which things my friend changed, as hes the host, but some googling should fill you in with what you need to do), im just tryin to push in the right direction
