Skill boosts on class mods not working?
We just noticed that some of the class mods for our Soldier that increased their skill that increased ammo, isn't working. I assume others have noticed this but didn't see anything in a quick glance.

Is this known to GB/2K and getting addressed? Seems they aren't increasing the skills on the sheet and as mentioned, not working at all.

It's been that way since the original game. Not sure why Gearbox never fixed that.

I think the separate boosts only work if you already have a point invested in it already.

Noticed that mine are not working aswell. In Blands 2 it at least showed the indication that it was leveled up. Please fix?

Is it not the case that they are working, it just doesn't show on the skill tree like in bl2?

Thats how it always was in BL, and like in BL2 you need at least 1 point in the skill for it to have an effect

We tested it both with it on and off, there was no difference to Killer which increased both damage and reload speed. Can they not go above cap in this game, I forget. Because with 5/5, using the mod (+2) doesn't change the number or the buffs themselves, they stay at 40% and 30% respectively.
That is interesting, I wonder if it was that way in the original. I just always assumed they were working correctly.

1) Class Mods only affects skills that you've ivested at least 1 point in to (there seem to be some global mods that will always work, like Team Health Regeneration).

2) Unlike Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel, there's no visual indication of the mod having an effect on your Skills when you open the Skill UI.

Is it just a visual bug? I mean, I usually use mods that add to skills I'm going to max anyway. Then again, I prioritize stuff other than + to x skill. I guess I do both. I guess the problem is that it doesn't visually represent these bonuses.

I guess it could just not boost those skills that are already at five. I dunno.

I tested Inner Glow on Siren and I can confirm it does stack above 5/5.
With the point boost of 2, still showed 5/5 in the skill tree, I was regenerating health faster.

In general they work, however considering all the different variations, I bet a few don't work as they should.

Un Be Li Ev Ab Le !!

I find it superhard to believe that the devs have been this lazy and careless!!.. How is is possible that there is no visual indication that your skill is 9/5 instead of 5/5??

Like.. they literally couldn't care less about their game..!! This is such a basic code implementation in Unreal, it takes a noob 5 minutes to do it.

As I recall, skills being pushed over 5 in the first game don't count anyways. Skills aren't effective over 5, and you need at least 1 point invested to gain any from a class mod.

it does work. I just got class mod with diva boost (+ to shield's capacity) and I received the promised boost (from 870 to 1200), even though I already have 5/5 points in the skill tree.
