Can't start game because it can't find .dll files
how in 2019 is this even an issue I've tried everything and for some reason this stupid game cant find 2 .dll files that are clearly installed on my computer as I was having an issue about a week ago with a program that claimed the same thing and I've fixed that now. why the heck couldn't this just be a patch for the old goty edition that works on my computer is beyond me fix your♥♥♥♥♥♥gearbox or dont even bother with BL3 which is already a waste since we cant make our own vault hunters.

Update. Seems like the reason why the game isnt working for everyone is someone at 2k or gearbox has forgotten to include the vcredis files required to actually run this game and none of the ones that come with the original or borderlands 2 work on the enhanced edition.

No issues here, corrupt file system or other underlaying issues?

I have no idea, ive tried reinstalling the game, check game files, uninstall and reinstall visual redis packs, run in admin mode, run in compatibility mode everything that i can think of that would work and yet the game keeps claiming it cant find 2 .dll files on my computer so wont run past the launcher even if i try to by pass it. I swear the longer I use windows 10 the more I hate it and steam made my xp machine useless and probably soon will screw windows 7 users.

Missing dll files is not necessarily a Windows 10 issue you know. You do not even mention what dll files it is claiming are missing. Name those and you could be better helped.

Had the same thing and checking game files actually fixed it - it redownloaded some 40 or so files.

Looking at those dll files, it seems it failed to install the Visual C Runtime properly. Seen this happen fairly often. Worst case, you might need to re-install the game. Fingers crossed you don't have to.

I see this with almost every 'new' game I install on my system. Some .dll files are flagged as missing, then a few weeks later(sometimes a month or 2) a stealth-update is sent out and it suddenly works.

I only know because I have all updates set to manual, and this is the like.... 14th time it's happened to me over the course of about 8 years. It's 100% either the developer or steam's fault as far as I'm concerned, and I'm pretty annoyed about it. It's just some oversight where they are sending out a main install package that works for 95% of systems, but needs a few more essential files included for the remaining 5%. They're taking a shortcut to roll it out earlier to the majority of systems. Since only a fraction of those 5% or so complain they think it's no big deal, but that's bs.

I'm glad I didn't have to actually pay for a game to get a big ol' middle finger from a dev/steam, but it's still garbage that they're pretty much treating it like certain people don't matter.
