Willowtree and the Enhanced Edition

Just as I feared, no modding for this edition of Borderlands 1....Gearbox have patched it out so that Willowtree and also Dr Zed's patch no longer work

Pretty sure it was abandoned years ago unfortunately, but that's not the reason Willowtree doesn't work.....The sneaky DEV's have patched it out so it won't work

What a damn shame. I really enjoyed giving my Lilith a super overpowered Double Anarchy with stupid ridiculous stats that can't spawn naturally in-game. Hopefully someone will release a new save editor sometime down the line.

i just modded my own profile from the original game and transferred it over on the enhanced edition main menu, easy as lmao

Wow, that's smart as hell. I never would have thought of doing this. Good call. Now if only there was a way to transfer the GOTY Enhanced saves to the old version.

hmm, say if you play for a bit on the enhanced you could just use a profile from the original b1 and copy all the stats, quests, weapons, class type ect.. on willow tree or something and then transfer it over
but that would be effort lol

Yup, I think they have made this mod proof, but I won't be sure until Rick (Gibbed) gets back to me

i have all my modded guns come over if i import the character, not sure if they added something like in BD2 where there is a bank you can use to transfer guns across characters tho.

If there is, then mod your old save and import.

i guess you could use willowtree to reset your old characters level and have all your old stuff just in the new enhanced edition.

Modding with willow tree works just have to import saves. So far I've managed to create Stock guns (the infinite damage ones), Scorpio weapons (hybrids), infinite shields, equipped level 81 guns, droppable money bobbleheads, ammo, backpack and gun SDU's, and red and silver rarity weapons.

This feels more like they ported Borderlands 1 into UE4 than them reworking what they already had. So we just need to wait for Rick to come along and do what he does best.
