Anyone not starting with 2 Legendaries + shift keys?

Two of my friends are fine with their starting characters but myself and another aren't starting with the legendaries and shift keys :( Anyone else have this issue?

You have to choose the "extras" option in the main menu and get signed in for shift codes. If you already created your character you'll have to start a new one if you want your legendaries.

Don't shoot the messanger.. I had to restart at level 5 before I realized it :P

Not true, both of my friends that received their gear basically turned on game and went right into it without signing in. smh

I have signed in and it tells me to input the shift codes. I made a character after I gave up, when to find the golden chest, no keys.

I need to get this problem solved, I don't want to be bummed out..

I didn't get them either, of course I also got a message saying I my PC didn't meet the minumum requirements and preset me to low. I'm running on Ultra with no frame drops.

My advice, give them a few days to get this all sorted.

A friend of mine did not receive the 2 random legendary weapons or the golden keys, honestly sucks for those that did not receive them, hopefully the issue is resolved soon.

Actually, it is true.

Your friends were likely already signed in when they entered the game.

My initial launch of the game I wasn't signed in to SHIFT (didnt realize it). Checked my inventory and saw that I didn't receive any bonus loot or keys.

Exited to my Desktop, re-launched the game. This time I signed into SHIFT via the "extras" menu, then at at the character select screen I deleted my initial character, and created a new one. This time I had two legendaries in my inventory along with 75 keys. The difference? Being signed in to SHIFT.

You absolutely need to make sure you are signed in to SHIFT first. Then start a *new* character. If you choose a character that already exists, you won't get the loot or keys.

This has been confirmed by Gearbox and multiple streamers / folks on Youtube.

That's kind of ridiculous. Gearbox should have told Steam this. I'm not starting over from level 30 now for keys I may or may not get.
