How can I change the default gpu?
I have a laptop with double GPU, and I have detected the launcher my integrated graphics, and I wanted to select my NVIDIA gpu ...

However, selecting it from the Nvidia panel does not allow me to manually add the launcher, as well as the individual game ... and I can not obtain the desired performance while having the other gpu selected ...

Is there any way to change this?

Same thing with me. I have a GTX 1080 Ti and all that I can find available is the on-board Intel HD 4000. NOT going to cut it. The Nvidia panel does not even show the Intel GPU, it just says ALL with only the GTX 1080 showing. What the heck?

Nvidia control pannel
Manage 3d settings
program settings
add button has both the game and the launcher
select the preferred graphics processor for this program

In my case, I thought that from the launcher I could exchange GPU's but it was not like that ... although the game has good performance, but I would like to use my dedicated GPU

Jamesworkshop...

Before the Nvidia panel game does not detect me, now ... although the video game launcher continues to show me the message that the Intel HD is the default
if you are under windows 10 open windows setting , then gaming , then game mode

from there you should be able to see related setting with Graphic setting in red

then select classic apps and add borderland exe file then set the game in high performance mode.

I had the same issue, changing it to the dedicated card in the nvidia control panel fixed the performance issues, but the launcher bugs out and resets every time. Just ignore the launcher saying it is using the wrong card and the game itself should still use the right card.

works better than paying any attention to the launcher.

Perhaps I'm just an idiot but I'm not seeing the option to change that on mine. The only two things I see are CUDA -GPUs and OpenGL rendering GPU. Those are my only two GPU options.

Same here!

Yeah I don't have that second option. I have "Select a program to customize" and "Specify the settings for this program" only.

Even if I do the steps that describe me (and those I already know) the integrated GPU is still detected by the Borderlands launcher itself ...

I see from the task manager that the resources consumed by the game are destined for the integrated GPU ..

I had the same issue where the launcher would auto-select one of my GPU's and not give me the option to change it. Running a RTX 2060 (first slot) and GTX 970 (second slot). Decided to physically remove the GTX and run the launcher into main menu for graphics options, and disabled the launcher. Not sure if it will work since I won't see the launcher again, but will check GPU usage next time I boot with both in.

Edit: That solution worked, if you're able (and/or willing) to remove the card you don't want to use so that it forces it to launch on the one you do, and then remember to disable the launcher so it doesn't get the option to select the other card.
