Does the Hyperion Gift store level cap?
I noticed the highest level weapon in the gift store was a 43 and lowest was 31. I'm a lvl 50 but opened it during PT1 at lvl 34 I think.

What will I get when I open during PT2?

PT 2.5 is when everything in-game scales to you.

It'll scale somewhat while in PT2, and it will completely scale to you once you've completed PT2.

don't forget, they also scale to Level-61 on the 1st playthrough, should the OP or another teammate kills Crawmerax during the "You Will Die" mission

2.5 weapons can still bottom out, but the baseline (depending on your level) if over 60 doesn't seem to fall to far below Lvl 58 from my experience; even then my L58 Hellfire still crisps level 70 baddies like they're jack squat (old BL).

Finished the give claptrap the clap mission at lvl 51. Gift shop items are lvl 40-46.

Have you completed the main story (vanilla) yet?

I finished PT1 main story working on PT2 main. Finished Tartarus station at lvl 51. Still using several high lvl 30's to low lvl 40 guns. Mostly purples.

My lvl 40 Crimson Stinger kills everyone but Craw

yup it did. I'm farming the gift shop and it's giving up tons of Legendaries. But stingy on really op stuff like my lvl40 Crimson Stinger. Got a kickass hellfire that roasted the guardians. Went back to the Stinger for the destroyer
