the "no" part, is because the provided loot (unless you get a lucky relic drop) is usually pretty crappy.
the "Yes" part, is that the quest-line itself rewards out a ton of XP when turning them in.
so with that said, when going through this DLC, i'd recommend packing a Jakobs Skullmasher or the Unforgiven Revolver (especially if it's the iconic Masher version) for those headshots, as well as a HellFire (for any panic moments), and a good explosive weapon (or rocket launcher) for the bigger guys or when you're put into FFYL and need a fast Second Wind
