Where can I buy nails to build my house?

Can anyone help me. I have started building my house, got the foundation down but now need nails. Tried buying from the apprentice blacksmith in Winterhold but no joy. Can anyone help?

just buy iron ingots and make them at your anvil

You need to either mine for iron, buy iron ore, buy/grab iron ore (use the smelter to make the ingots) and create the nails at an invil usually found at a blacksmith.

there is an option in the smithing menu called "building materials" if you have an iron ingot in your inventory you can forge it into 10 nails. i dont believe there is a smithing level requirement.

Use those two mods if you want to make it a little easyer. They don't just give you the materials, you still need to buy them.

You will still need to hunt down materials for some of the interior decorations though. ie. Enchanting Table, trophy displays, ect.

What the others have said is also correct if you want to do it that way.
