showracemenu

Type this in your console and it will take you back to the character creation screen, only thing is though, if you change your race all your skills and your level will be reset. So save your game in advance, that's safest either way.

No you can't change your high elf skintone to the colour of a snow elf. Etherial Elven Overhaul does I think improve (to my eye) the look of elves, especially the high elves and you can tweak the look of your existing high elf character using showracemenu console command.

If you don't change race you won't lose your skills, but I do recommend using a new save just incase you don't like the "improvements" you make.

In addition there are a number of mods that add "Snow Elves" as a playable race you might like to check them out, do be aware that custom races may not work for becoming a vampire as in the mechanics of the game vampires are a separate set of races.
So, are you just gonna waste my time, or are you going to actually give me a console command to work with?
To play my Altmer of mixed ancestry (Snow elf), I use a mod called pale elves, that way I kept the Altmer racial boni cause he's an Altmer, but I gave the appearence of some Snow elf blood.

I also use true eyes for elves, which gives an interesting reddish option for the high elf eye, which again fit my build, but you don't need to use it. Just thought I'd include it.

Here he is, so you see. No yellow. Though npcs are which is what I wanted in the first place. The firelight casts an odd glow sorry, but you can tell he's not yellow.

Edit:Here is an even easier way!!!

High Elf with Snow Elven Skin

1. Start a new game.

2. Wait for the introduction to come to the point where you leave the wagon and the game saves.

3. Open console and type in:

player.setrace snowelfrace

3 3/4.: Save and quit the game to your desktop. Restart skyrim, load your save file aaand...

4. Wait for Hadvar to ask for your identity, so the race menu opens up.

5. Change your characters sex from male to female and then back to male (He should now have snow elven face texture)

6. Change your snow elf to your liking, but keep in mind to not touch races, eye colors or hair styles because this can make your game crash later when changing your clothes.

7. Confirm your choice of character and have fun!

True Snow Elf
(This way you actually use the snow elven head parts instead of the high elven.)

1. Start a new game and wait for Hadvar to ask for your identity so the race menu opens up
OR open console while playing one of your old save files and type in:

showracemenu

2. Either way, pick a male nord. If you were a male nord before, switch to the second preset and then back to the first.

3. Confirm your choice (and follow the introduction until you get to the keep if you started a new game.)

4. (Once inside,) open console and type in:

player.setrace snowelfrace

5. Save your game, quit to your desktop, restart skyrim, load your save file...

6. Open console and type in:

showracemenu

6 3/4. Change your characters sex from male to female and then back to male (He should now have snow elven face texture)

7. Adjust looks to your liking (Just don't touch any of the other races and you will be fine)

8. Confirm your choice and have fun once more!

PS: If you start a new game, I think it is best to start hammering the codes in and stuff as soon as you got into the keep, before Hadvar unties you!

Beware... the NECROMANCER!

EDIT: Seriously, how the hell do people keep finding these threads?

with the search function, usually.
It seems the search function is most often used by Necromancers. I mean, how many times have we seen "Stormcloaks versus Imperials" or "Workshop mods not loading" or "Game crashes after Bethesda logo"? But then, somebody comes along and for unknown reasons digs up an obscure question that is years old.

i did it because no one gave these two a proper answer! also i totally didn't care about the date, since fact is that a proper answer was never given. not here nor anywhere else online. they always just recommend mods, which is not what they (and me too) were asking for.

BTW the last person asking about an answer on this thread did so like half a year ago...that's not THAT long ago

Why not just start your own thread and put your guide there? Also, would you add this mini-tutorial to this thread?
