Killing Mercer Frey and I'm stuck

I'm playing Blindsighted and have just entered the Sanctuary. Game continues on but I'm stuck. Mercer climmbs around on the Thalmer statue and when he hops off he continues to jump up and down. Does anyone out there know how to fix this bug?

Reload a previous save and try again.

Yes there is nothing like a good battle to get the blood flowing, I've had my xanax so the nerves r great. I also have tried going back a couple of times to previous saves and each time I come to the door it all stops when I enter the room. Talk about making an entrance!

After my initial not so informative reply, I did a quick google and couldn't find anything on chars getting stuck on this quest. There were a plethora of other glitches including one where Mercer doesn't even turn up for the fight!
I'm guessing your char is stuck in the initial cut scene or hasn't dropped from the ledge and is still with Karliah & the other guy?

Try further back if you can. Say....the start of the dungeon, and see if that works.

spawn is right... just shoot him with an arrow and he'll fall off

I would if I could, have some nice exploding ones, but I can't move. I can turn my head but that is it.

I found this. It appears this quest bugs out if you stray too far from your 2 guildies. Maybe the quest glitches due too your guildies not entering the cutscene with you. (arghh, just realised I'm late for work lol).

"I had this problem. What I had to do was reload a save before i went into the place, make sure you stick with the two other people. You'll eventually run across Mercer killing some monsters in the distance. I think this is when the game actually loads him in the dungeon. If you run ahead of the two people you're with, this even won't trigger and you'll get stuck in the end."

This time I made sure all my people were close, but then as the door opens I'm stuck in place and everyone is stuck also behind me. ahhhhhhhhhh

The answer was thanks to Spaawwn of Totoro...had to go all the way back and reenter the city again. Thanks a whole bunch to everyone for the help! Hug someone it Valentine's Day!
