Many doors in that labyrinth are marked as requiring a key to open but guiding the light from Meridia's beacon is actually the way to open them. None of them (as far as I can remember) need a "physical" key to open. To guide the light, you have to activate pedestals. Once a pedestal is activated, it opens a door and you can proceed.
In order to help you, please be more specific as to where you are in the "dungeon" so I can figure out which door is actually blocking your way.
On the other hand, there are many walkthroughs on the internet and if you google "Kilkreath", you are bound to find something that will help you.
Go into Journal and down to Miscellaneous Quests and across. Check to make sure none of these are marked as active.
Merida's quest The Break Of Dawn should be the only quest marked as active.
"...after you go back outside..." I guess you mean Kilkreath Balcony
"...and enter another entrance..." I guess you mean Kilkreath Ruins
"...that I am guided to a door with a dragon head on it that states this door requires a key."
If I understand correctly, that's the door you need to open to get to Kilkreath Catacombs. Like all other doors, it doesn't need a "physical" key. Guide the light by activating the pedestals and you will eventually open the door. Now, the room you are in is quite large and has more than one level. There is a lot of things to do before the door will open. I found this video on YouTube where a guy is navigating this room and opens the door to the catacombs. I hope it will help you.

Exactly what link says, No key is needed you just need to keep the light moving from room to room.
didnt do that mission for some time, id suggest to read up on it on the UESP site... good infos and they will mention possible bugs and glitches in the bottom area of each page.
