EU vs US version
So, I found Skyrim on sale pretty cheap and decided to grab it up. When I activated the code on steam, I noticed that it had (EU) after the title, indicating I had bought a european version of the game.

I live in the US, and will probably buy the expansions later on. Will I have any problems due to location? And do I need to buy the EU versions for the expansions as well? Should I contact the company and try to get it changed to a US version?

Or does all of that not really matter and I should just play the game?

Thanks for any insight.

I do not know for sure, but i wouldn't think it would matter. But don't take my word on it, i have not had this issue arise for me before.

I'm assuming the European version is censored. Bethesda's games tend to get censored internationally.

Euro version is uncensored and the same as the US version.

The EU code is simply for pricing guidelines, games are priced differently in different parts of the world, some parts of the world its much cheaper than other parts

Steam/Valve don't like you using codes obtained elsewhere as it potentially undercuts their pricing stategy. Usually nothing will happen but sometimes Steam will delete the code, and the game, from your inventory. Russian obtained codes seem to be the worst offenders.
