idk a friend told me there was a way to marry Serana withour a mod. don't know if true. Complete Dawngaurd Quest. Get Serana to human. Spend at least 1 year game time with Serana as your companion. If you chose Human side at lvl 40 she becomes marriagable. If chose vampire side lvl 60. Again don't know if true. Never tried it.

i think its just a rumor spread around the net. only way i know is a mod or construction kit

Look up the excellent Interesting NPCs mod. Personally, I think many of the superfollowers in the mod offer better marriage options...and interaction, not too mention greatly adding to the cast of characters and quests found throughout Skyrim.

well any NPC in the game can be married as long as they have correct voice type this is the only thing which is important Voice type. most NPC in the game shares the same voice type so marrying them is a simple you just need to add them to marriagefaction but Serana is custom voiced Dlcfollower so she can not be married by normal means you will need a mod that will first use her existing dialogues and voice parts and made them available for marriage purpose this requires lots of cutting and editing then the dialogues will needed to be made for her. there is a mod that does just that.
