If you have mods, make copies of them because the only way I know how is for a clean vanilla uninstallation.

>Delete the following files:

[src (folder)]

skse_1_8_151.dll
skse_docs.txt
skse_loader.exe
skse_papyrus_docs.txt
skse_readme.txt
skse_steam_loader.dll
skse_whatsnew.txt

>Delete the following files:

(From Data/scripts)

[Source (Folder)]

activemagiceffect.pex
actor.pex
actorbase.pex
alias.pex
apparatus.pex
book.pex
cell.pex
colorcomponent.pex
colorform.pex
combatstyle.pex
constructibleobject.pex
enchantment.pex
form.pex
formtype.pex
game.pex
headpart.pex
ingredient.pex
input.pex
keyword.pex
math.pex
netimmerse.pex
objectreference.pex

If this doesn't help, or if you have mods, do a clean installation of your game (by deleting everything in your Skyrim folder and then selecting the "Delete Local Data" in the games menu).

Edit: If you did all of the above and then have an issue with your DLCs, go ahead and skip right to the clean install (after deleting everything in the Skyrim folder) and go from there.

will this remove my dlcs?
mr1029384756 Mar 12, 2015 @ 3:33pm
Possibly, but all of your DLCs are saved in the Steam cloud for your game, just like any other game with downloadable content. You already paid for the content, so you will not lose it although you may have to reinstall all of it.

Once you do so, verify the integrity of the game cache and run the game settings loader to adjust everything like normal vanilla Skyrim.

This is one of the problems with script-heavy mods, that they normally replace everything (file-wise) that they change, which is why when you use mods, the smart thing would be to make a back up prior to installing them. If you do the clean install option, take the time to make a copy of everything so you can simply copy-paste your vanilla Skyrim data over mods you do not want any longer or that are causing serious issues.

when you say reinstall- you mean i would lose all my saves, yeah?

No, your saves are stored in the "Documents / My Games / Skyrim / " pathway, you will not lose them. However, if those saves are dependant upon mods that you have used, then yes, you will.

Unforunate though saves will hold old data, so yes you will have to start fresh. Or reinstate the mods which means SKSE may have to be reinstored if those mods use SKSE. Catch 22

Agreed. SKSE is such a good mod but it is a stone-cold b**ch to uninstall.

Why one earth would you want to uninstall SKSE? Even if you don't want to use it anymore - and I recommend that you do use it, even if you don't have any mods that require it, due to the stability fixes it implements into the game - all you need to do to completely disable it is launch Skyrim in the regular way.

all the installer dose is it installs it the same as ya would if ya did it manually. to remove it all ya have to do is Delete any thing that has skse in front of it and Delete the src folder in the maine skyrim folder where the exe is. in the data folder you delete the SKSE folder and the scripts folder and thats it all the installer dose is make it eazer to install it and just adds a desktop shortcut and if your worred about messing somthing up all ya do is this

Verify Integrity of Game Cache
All operating systems - Verify integrity of game cache

1 Load Steam

2 From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.

3 Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.

4 Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

5 Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

um skse doesn't do any thing to the DLC's Skse is an extension the only problem ya would have is loading old saves if you had mods that used skse then all ya have to do is start a new game thats it

I agree with this. SKSE is an extended script library for Skyrim. There is no point of reinstalling it, even if you would not use any mods that require SKSE. Memory tweak alone is highly recommended fix for Skyrim, to prevent long and/or crashing loading screens.

Is there some real reason you wish to remove the script extender? Content does nothing, unless called by mods or configuration tweak.

You see, the reason I would want to remove SKSE is because I made a big blunder. When I was attempting to manually uninstall a mod, I accidentaly deleted the 'scripts' folder, and I'm afraid the SKSE won't start without it, so I was planning on reinstalling it...

Find your SKSE download (or re-download manually from nexus) and just copy it over.

Edit: my bad I don't think its on the nexus. Heres a link:
