Game crashes after I hit "continue"
I have tried a fresh install several times, there are no mods installed. I was playing the game eariler today and it was perfect, closed the game, got some food, came back: Game crashes after about 2 seconds after hitting the "continue" button. I have deleted local content several times and tried a freshh restart, that did not work either. I have tried making a new game, that crashed too. This is very aggrivating because I finally started to get into skyrim today. Any ideas?

start with the lwest video settings, if that works, increase them until you hit the crash spot

I'm having the same sort of issue. I just got up and wanted to play. I put steam on and started Skyrim and I lost all control once it went to the Bethesda screen. Very frustrating!!!

bethesda screen crash:
fix your mod loadorder with BOSS/LOOT
Skyrim BOSS:
http://boss-developers.github.io/

Skyrim LOOT:
http://loot.github.io/
and make sure your mods have all their requirements filled in

@ Kjordo711. Few things to try.

1. Validate your files with fresh cache.
- Exit Steam.
- From your Steam folder, remove folder named "appcache."
- Reboot your computer.
- Start Steam.
- From Steam client Library view, Right-click the game
- Select Properties > Local Content > Verify Integrity of Game Cache

2. ENBoost

3. SKSE memory fix

ENBoost and SKSE memory fix might fix your game. If not, and you get it run with some other matter, they are good to have anyway.

@PTAss1240 This sounds like a separate matter.

Crashing after Bethesda logo implies, that you are missing one or more parent file for your mod(s). Requirements are written in download page and ReadMe (if exists) for each mod. Run LOOT to find out what data is missing.

Ha! Hey guys - I know you dudes are pretty on the ball with helping out folks who have broken games round here - but he does say - quite specifically - that he has NO mods installed.

Perhaps you two need a break? :happymeat:

I validated my files and it said that one file was missing and will be reacquired. I then checked my downloads and it showed it being done. To be careful, I validated my files again, and the same thing popped up. It seems that no matter how many times I validate the integrity of the game files it will always pop up sayign that 1 file was missing and will be reacquired, but my skyrim continues to not work.

I should have mentioned this. That one file will fail each and every time, for each and every one of us. It has nothing to do with Skyrim, but Steam, and nothing to worry about.

Did you have time to try ENBoost and Memory fix?

I start bolding names afet "@"-mark, so others don't need to tire their eyes, while trying to figure out who we are writing to. ;)

And I am definetl going to get that break tonight: IIHF 2014 FIN-RUS.
Whatever happens, I am not going to make it to the gym tomorrow, am I?

I started a new game and everything works fine, with mods and everything, but when I load my actual game, with the same mods, i crashes during the loading screen.

Hmm i think theres somthing with your one of your mods check that you have all the requierments for all the mods you have like:SKSE,FNIS etc.DON'T use steam workshop it very risky.I use Nexus mod manger its very good download it from Skyrim nexus.I would requomend it.Sorry for my spelling.Make sure when you download a mod read the descripshion cause the Auther of the mod might say"It requiers SKSE or FNIS....etc. If you Need anything else

I hope this is helpful if not ask me again but with more detail.Just message me.
Thank's
NZstormbreaker.
