Crashing trying to exit the sightless pit? Wtf (Temporarily solved)
Would anybody know what the hell is going on here. I do have some quest mods, but if I don't load them, I still can't exit the sightless pit. I'll get a load screen for a decent amount of time and think, "O boy its going to work" and boom crash. I can't seem to find any info on it.

ok then. lol. try installing the lastest version of SKSE. It has the new 4gb patch. If u have that and it is not working try installing ssme http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/? . It will force the 4gb patch. It sounds like the issue may be the memory allocations filling up.

If that doesn't work then its most likely a save game bloat. Had issues in the past. For some reason restarting my PC seemed to work. If not use the save game cleaner http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? (MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR SAVEGAME).

Hope this helps. Sorry you're anti-social. We could have been good friends lol XD.

I am not anti social, it just didn't seem to me that hard to explain it over the forum, that way anyone else that bumped into this issue could solve it?
Beers on me lol xD

Not the best advice. SSME is obsolete. The memory tweak is part of SKSE now, but has to be set up to work. More found on this thread by Ilja.

I told him to install the new skse but JUST IN CASE that he swore up and down that he did but he didn't, he would install SSME and it would all be fine. Im aware of the memory patch in SKSE. Also you don't have to enable it. The patch now comes stock in a SKSE install

Where is the skse.ini file?
- SKSE does not include one by default. Create an empty text file in <skyrim root>\Data\SKSE\ named skse.ini. Create the SKSE folder if it doesn't already exist.

From skse_Readme.txt included in version 1.7.3

How can the memory tweak work if the ini file and the lines needed to enable it is not there?

[General]
EnableDiagnostics=1
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1
[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=2048
[Memory]
defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768
scrapHeapSizeMB=256

Make sure your master files are not damaged in some way. Just follow this guide.

No dice, so does that mean that master files are damaged?

If there were that should have fixed it. Does the problem persist on a new character?

well no its not going to do that. I have a 17mb save file, now ive had larger ones and had no issues. But If I used that save cleaner deal and let it completely reset my character I could at least get out of there, but all of my stuff is gone and it ♥♥♥♥♥ up every quest, so thats a no go.

** Ive also removed every single mod and that will not make a difference.
MrXgamer1500 Aug 26, 2015 @ 11:32am
I also recall having an issue that I cannot enter breezehome anymore, it will crash too. But that doesn't bother me at all. Because at least i can still DO EVERYHTING ELSE.

Your mod list in load order will help. Have you used LOOT to sort your load order.
