What are the 'Classes' you use?
So yea I want to talk about different classes or what ever you want to call them. Becuase I have just completed my modding and am now ready to play. Though I am unsure what kind of character to make.

So I want to talk about the type of classes I could make my character.

Note,
I already know the ovbious Warrior, Mage, Theif. But I want to get a little bit deeper into the 'classes'

Go with the Ranger class Mr.BowTie.

If you want you can add some DnD classes to enhance the experience(Ranger being one of them.)

I always play as a Breton Spellsword and his name is Claude Renault. I enjoy playing him on Master difficulty in Skyrim.

I am now playing a Dunmer with Archery, Cojuration and sneak and infected with vampirism. Once I reach cojuration 50lvl I will use bound bow.

So.... Arcane Archer?

Argonian Fallen Paladin. "Fallen you say? What's that?" Well, he has fallen from grace...The Vigilants of Stendarr don't look kindly on one of their own becoming a Vampire...

Anywho, the build itself is Heavy Armor, One-Handed, Block, Restoration, Alteration, and Alchemy.

Your main enemy here is fire. As such, potions that help to aleviate that weakness are needed, such as this little beauty;

Other than that, Spellbreaker comes in handy.

All in all, playing on Legendary difficulty at level 56. Easily one-shotted by fire breath attacks and the occasional fireball if im not paying enough attention.

I also do fancy this class. I have had loads of fun with it.

I used to play an arcane assassin, using dual-wield bound sword and light armour whilst being stealthy. It was pretty fun, and the one conjuration perk that allows conjured weapons to always cast soul trap on a target was great for getting more soul gems for other enchanments.
Right now I'm playing a Succubus paladin, using the succubus race from nexus mods, heavy armour with one handed sword and shield along with healing spells. It's basic but a lot more fun than I imagined it would be. I try to avoid the old stealthy archer approach 'cos everyone uses it and it makes the game way too easy.

If you wish to get deeper with classes, then you may be interested of trying this mod out. You can determine starting class skills to your character with it. Mod has premade classes, but you can tweak them to your liking, if you prefer other kind of starting setup.

All options can be selected from MCM, so you don't really get any features that you do not want. You will automaticaly get race skills and custom hight settings, but those seem to work well with all overhauls I have tested.

Check out feature descriptions and tables. I strongly recommend using "Live Another Life" with this mod, so you can setup differences safely in LAL prison, before starting the game.

Paladins (heavy armor, melee, "good" spells) are a very interesting class to play in the Dawnguard questline, especially with the DLC specific spells.

Witches and wild mages are also interesting overall, and based on your own interpretation, but usually no more than hide armor, daggers, staves, and whatever you deem appropriate as far as spells.

D&D Barbarian types are also an interesting and challenging play in the magic-rich Skyrim. Avoiding all magic, including potions and enchanted items, can be VERY challenging.

One of my favorite unique classes is a Khajit merchant. Clothes only, no weapons, Sneak, Speech, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, some Illusion and Alteration for support, no offense himself at all but for his hands, using hired muscle only (Uthgerd). VERY challenging, especially when you delve into draugr territory. For this reason, Barbas is also a permanent companion.

Personally I've always struggled to make a magic caster. As much as I delve into the destruction perks my spells just feel weak and quite limited as the magic pool is so small at the start of the game. I imagine it's great fun later in the game but at the start it's just really difficult to get going.

If you start from the get go, it's very easy to be over 20 Destruction and at least level 5, just by escaping Helgen and getting to Riverwood. Use the lower cost spells for as long as you can before getting into the higher ranked spells. Also, staves are your friend as a mage. Specializing in one school is fine for academics, but in the real world, diversifying is the way to survive. IMO, any pure mage adventurer in Skyrim should master at least two schools, be adept in a third or fourth, and have at least journeyman skills in the remainder. Said pure mage should also master at least one of the two major support skills, Enchanting and Alchemy.

Knight, as Morrowind defined it: An armored warrior lightly schooled in Restoration and Enchantment (specifically, the usage of magical trinkets), and a persuasive speaker.
I like to stick to buffing magic as opposed to traditional healing spells. Seems more fitting.

I also have a "Dark" variant, that uses illusion magic to manipulate other people, as well as specialising in Aborption Magic. (Skyrim doesn't have many distinctive absorption spells though).
