Dragon Claw not opening Yngol Barrow Door. Help.

I've spent 2 hours trying to open the wheel door in Yngol Barrow. I have the Coral Dragon Claw. I've looked at it and I know the correct solution to the wheel puzzle is snake at the top, wolf in the middle, moth at the bottom. I keep trying to use the key but the key will not work. I saved the game as I look at the key hole. When I quit the game and load the game up...the claw is floating right in front of the key hole for about 2 seconds. I keep tapping E to make the claw go in. It never does, and then it vanishes. It's still in my inventory but I can't do anything with it. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue and get that door open?

Thanks for the link but I have the unofficial patch installed and Ive already tried all those solutions. Posting a question in a forums is a last resort for me. I only posted this question after spending a couple hours looking online at that page and others, & also watching YouTube videos to find a solution. I just tried the console command to add another Coral Dragons Claw. The command worked but I still have the same issue. Now I just have 2 keys. I might upload a video of the issue tomorrow.

open console
click on door
type 'unlock'

and see if that unlocks the door.

Ok I'll try that. I did the other console command to make the dragon key but I didnt try to just use the unlock command.

Worst case scenario, type 'tcl' in to the console to toggle clipping, to re-enable it just type the same thing afterwards.

Should be noted though that often those doors require you to unlock them to complete an objective and thus the quest, so clipping through it isn't ideal.

Yeah, I've done that maybe 10-15 times since when I tab out of the game to look things up online, the game wont let me back in. So I always fully exit out of the game when I need to look for solutions online. But Im going to try that command solution posted above. Thanks :)

you could always try the old-school wait 30 days in game trick haha. Thats how a lot of stuff gets fixed on the console versions.

If the stuff doesnt do the trick, I'll try the wait 30 days method. Im writing all these solutions down. I never played Skyrim on console and I cant imagine how much of a pain it would be to have an issue and not be able to try as many things to fix it.

By the way, if you just want to quickly Google something and you have the Steam overlay enabled, you can shift-tab to the overlay, then if you click on "view discussions" or something like that near the bottom right of the screen, it'll open a browser window, and you can then navigate to Google. I have mine set do the home page (which opens if I open a new tab) is Google. It's not a great browser and all the tabs reset when you exit/ctd which is a pain, but for stuff like "Gah, I can't find Klimmek, what's his daily routine?" it works better than alt tabbing out and keeping a real browser open in the background.

Draugr Death Overlord just mophed through the door (which is still closed) and I was able to kill him. Not sure of killing him before I got the door open is going to screw anything up for me.

Re: the ALT+Tab issue. I think if you play in windowed, borderless full screen-window mode, it disappears. Something about performance being enhanced in windowed mode (magical Windows thinking, probably) and I used OneTweak on the Nexus for that.

Quick question for OP, what were the symbols showing on the door? Everytime time it has locked up like that for me they were all the same symbol.

Wait, you gave yourself the key by console command? It's been a while, but isn't there a prerequisite quest to obtain the key?
