Character Body Mod?
Anyone know of any mods that can adjust the character's stature at time of creation? For instance, to create a portly merchant, smitth, or noble? Or an uber-tall, uber-beefy barbarian? Not the ones that give chars simply TnA boosts. Unless those work. I tried searching and all I get is the scantily glad silicone queens.

I"m not sure if this will do what you want or not. Take a look: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57440/?
Afaik ECE can't do much more than RaceMenu (which is imo better) can, namely add a bit of height and do a fairly iffy increase to biceps. CBBE Bodyslide lets you customise the body of a female character but I think that you have to use another mod to get it only to apply to your character, it can, I believe, be used to create a thicker waisted, chubbier woman sort of shape, but I don't think you can e.g. have a fat belly. For men, it's mostly more or less buff versions of the vanilla body, though there's a mod called SAM (shape atlas for men) which does allow for fat blokes. CBBE is on the Nexus, SAM is not, because it's apparently ruder to have nude men, or something. I haven't used it, but it should be findable with Google. (Actually, most male nude mods have options for erect wangs, so that is ruder, I guess.)
Thanks guys. ECE is just skeletal proportion if I'm reading correctly. And yeah, again, if I'm reading correctly, CBBE is female only and global. SAM... yeah... looked for about two seconds. That's a little too much detail and too many hoops I don't want to jump through to get there.

I'm guessing the lack of character bulk adjusters is inherent in the game itself and would require way too much effort to overhaul. Maybe next TES...
Pretty much - even the "skinny" men (vanilla or otherwise) are oddly muscular if you put them in something revealing, so I think the weight slider really does just increase the size (possibly with more emphasis on certain areas, like how with women it's mostly the boobs and hips that get bigger, the arms and waist stay about the same), so to have variable body types requires something more complex, or essentially turning everyone into chunky dudes - it's *possible* to have specific NPCs have a unique body type, I believe, but it's a lot of work (e.g. I've seen mods that make a select few NPCs fat) for not that much interest, sadly. Still, one of the nice things about ESO is it has a lot more body-type customisation, so hopefully that will carry forward into the next TES game proper. (For example, my Orc lass was by default significantly bulkier than my elf girl, and each character has, rather than sliders, a sort of triangle thing of muscular/fat/skinny (may not be exactly right, I played it some time last year, but that sort of thing) and you can move a little dot thingy around within the triangle so you can be buff, small-buff, fat(ish)-with-muscle-tone, etc.)

Nearly all the body mods are for one gender only, mainly because a lot of people only want one gender nude, or only care about the looks of their own character('s gender), etc. It does make it a little tricky to find two that go well together, particularly in terms of the actual textures (most body mods come with their own textures, but there are usually better ones available separately)- many of the textures for female characters are *very* smooth/airbrushed and not at all realistic, whereas the male ones *tend* to be more rugged. There are textures for female characters which actually look pretty realistic and go well with those, but they take a bit more searching. (There are also super-smooth anime-like textures available for male characters, of course, but again, those tend to be the less easily found ones.)

Anyway, that's probably far more than you want to know, I'm kinda sleepy and rambling.
No, not at all, it's exactly what I wanted to know, and kind of suspected.

I played ESO long ago, just seems like the same MMORPG kind of thing to me, so not my thing. I remember the triangle thing, but I don't remember being able to get portly folk, probably because I wasn't trying.

Anyway, my thought was that I wanted to start an uber-brawny female nord barbarian character and a portly male down-on-his-luck breton merchant/wino. Sadly, can't go there. :(
Yeah, it still wasn't incredibly diverse within a given race, but e.g. I managed to make an Orc woman not a million miles from my own shape.

For the "brawny woman" idea there's this:

It's not the most realistic looking, but maybe with the right armour? But, again, it'd apply to all female NPCs, not just your character. I think there are ways around that, but it's a lot of hassle, and I say that as someone who likes tinkering with mods.

I'm not even sure that you could creat that type of character within the creation kit. I don't think the resources are there. I suppose it could be possible with the right 3D modeling software, but again it would be alot of work.
