Rieklings or the Nords? Who did u choose?

I always choose the Rieklings.

If you choose the Rieklings a group of them will randomly appear anywhere in Skyrim to help you. It is pretty useful at higher difficulty settings when they appear and back you up. You can also choose a Riekling as a follower.

If you go to Solstheim at an early level and kill the Nords with the help of the Rieklings, you get their Nordic Weapons and a set of Scaled Armor, which is pretty nice for a low level character or your follower.

Do u know the advantages to choosing the nord side? Thx for telling me about the riekling advantages tho ;D

I am not sure if there are advantages to choosing the Nord side other than maybe a few quests that are available that won't be if you kill them.

You can do one quest before you kill them though. You have to talk to Elmus or whatever his name is and bring him some mead from Thirsk.

Depends. If my character encounters the Nords first, he/she is usually not so inclined to help those lazy layabouts. However, if he/she has already been attacked by Rieklings, then there's no real inclination to help them either. On at least one character, I've washed my hands of the lot and moved on.

I can't remember who I helped. Neither of them deserve to be in that damn hall, truth be told. I think Rieklings are only a LITTLE better than those filthy uncultured nords.

It seems we are more inclined to help the riekling, the cuter, slightly more fun creature. However, its more a case of: Would you help the disorganised rabble of a tribe that doesnt understand your own language, or the fully understanding "uncultured lazy layabouts" that leech off you regardless of your race, sapping your magic, health and stamina through quests: in exchange for money, which (if you play the game legitimately) is then taken in exchange for better equipment to make said quests easier. Although personally, I will choose the rieklings, as i have had no dealings with them, the only experience I've had with nords has been that they're VERY racist, and so I help the alternates.

If you meet the Nords first, you walk in on a scripted conversation. That and further observation shows them to be far less industrious than most Nords. They're good-for-nothings, bums. I forget her name, their "leader" is less so, but even so, they are, overall, designed not to garner any sympathy.

I find Rieklings to be slightly more disgusting and repulsive than humans, so I normally wipe them out. Plus, they're more satisfying to kill.

Nords I pretty much hate rieklings.

All of the nords are marked as essential, so I really only use them to practice my destruction magic. Same goes for the rieklings, though they're not as... invulnerable.
