And it still crashed, this time even quicker than before.
Does your game crash if you remove skyUI? Remove your mods one by one and see when your game stops crashing. With such a short load order, you should be able to find it quickly.

Yes, make sure you have SKSE installed. And also add the Memory fix, if you have not already:

Also, if you had mods on a previous playthrough, there may be some files left over, so see this as well:

Just for an example, I finally decided to fix a cell border crash I was having. I eliminated my mods one by one (starting a new game each time to check if I still crashed at the cell borders in question). After going through my entire load order, I found that not ONE single mod was responsible. The only pattern I found, was that the likelihood of a crash was dictated by how much data my enabled mods took up. I later found an issue to my problem, by using a fix originally made for New Vegas, but apparently works fine in other creation kit games (I've been using it for a few months now, and haven't had another crash, beside this one time I was screwing around on a test profile and forgot to enable that mod).
Now, what might have happened if I instead enabled mods one by one? Well, the crashes were dictated by how many mods I had enabled, so I wouldn't have been able to get a crash if I had only a few installed. What would've happened is I would've just removed the first mod where I got a crash if it was enabled, unaware that it wasn't actually responsible. Keep in mind, I suffered from this problem for probably more than a year. I kept removing mods, only for the crashes to re-emerge over and over again. Its what prompted me to finally just test my entire load order one by one. Before, I was just doing that thing where you disable half your load order at a time until you find the problem; this was giving me false positives over and over, which is why I'll never do that again.
So no, don't enable your mods one by one; disable them one by one. And don't do the thing where you disable half your load order and see if the issue continues; that threw me off from the actual cause of my problem for a YEAR. Of course, in my case, the crashes were random, so even if I crossed a cell border with all my mods enabled, I could still cross without getting a crash. I seriously thought for a while that turning off the AI let me cross, but actually it didn't; I just got lucky the first several times doing that.
Besides, looking at this load order, its almost certainly skyUI, given that the other mods as far as I know aren't reported to cause problems like this. My first guess at least is he has skyUI installed but not SKSE.
Also, the issue you describe that you had, was not a mod issue, it was a system/hardware issue (unless, of course, you were exceeding the plugin limit, in which case it was a user issue) - which also goes a long way to explain all the problems you had with SSE.
And that is all I will add regarding this. Sorry for the Sidetrack, Warmaster.
Just to clarify what I have. I do use SKSE, and Nexus Mod Manager (with LOOT and A Lot of Dual Sheath Redux Patches,) and here is my Real Load Order:
Thank you for the advice on the Load Order. I'll try it in the meantime, I have spent two days on trying to resolve the CTD and it did not appear to me to start a clean save and add mods later.
I know how hard it can be to switch mod managers when you've already got a highly elaborate load order, but you really need to do it. Just be thankful you don't have a load order of over 200 mods to transfer like I did. I only gave up on NMM myself when I switched back to LE, since SE had become beyond unusable for me. I've never looked back.
What mod manager would you recommend?
Excellent advice regarding modding Skyrim (essay written by PeggleFrank - a little outdated, but the basic principles still apply)

Player and Modding Resources (PINNED TOPIC) by Ilja http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/594821545176386165/
VERY IMPORTANT if you wish to successfully mod your game

And finally, start small - just add a few mods at a time, test, and then play for a while to ensure there are no issues - don't fall into the trap of adding a bunch of mods and then trying to play. And, very important!!! For most mods, once they are added, they cannot be removed and play continued on that save - you have to roll back to a save made before that removed/disabled mod was installed, or start a new game - absolutely no ifs, ands, or buts about it. So make sure you make a manual save before adding anything, and save often (manually) while playing, so you can roll back to a previous save if necessary. (For why you cannot remove/disable mods midplaythrough, see: You CANNOT Remove Mods Mid-Playthrough - http://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/1520386297681801135/ )
If you have any questions, or are unsure of something, just ask in the forum first - it is easier to prevent a problem than it is to fix one - especially where Skyrim is concerned.
ONE MORE THING: It can be confusing to determine whom to listen to on these forums, especially for someone new. In the pinned topic Helpful Links and References, see Section 6, Miscellaneous - Reliable Forum Regulars, for a list and explanation
That is the standard cut and paste advice that is given to all.
I've also heard of Vortex, though it may still be in development (its a successor to NMM). I think Mod Organizer is the most popular, and has been for quite a few years. It works by tricking your game to think any mods installed in it are installed into its own files. Since it doesn't actually put anything into your skyrim folders, it helps avoid a lot of the issues NMM causes (particularly when you remove mods). It also lets you have multiple mod profiles, with their own save files too, thus allowing you to have multiple different playthroughs with different load orders going simultaneously. Its quite nice. With NMM, I had to just keep installed any mod I could possibly use in any of my playthroughs. With Mod Organizer, I can just install the mods that are actually relevant to each character, greatly decreasing the size of my load orders.
Note though that its a bit of a trick to install things like skse and enbs through mod organizer; you should look up a tutorial for that. Its pretty easy to find since Mod Organizer is so popular.
