Your favorite "underrated" mod.
I'm interested in people's favorite mods that add a ton to their game that aren't necessarily "overhauls" or "top 10" mods on Nexus.

Please no "Frostfall", "SkyRe", "Requiem", or "SkyUI". We all know these are great mods, I'm just interested in those mods that have changed your game in a big way for you that many people may not know about or give much thought to checking out...

For me it's - "Skyrim Bigger Trees"

This mod has completely changed the way I wander through the forests of Skyrim. It actually makes the world "feel" much bigger than it really is. You can't see for miles beyond the trees when you're deep in a forest and thus you feel like you could almost get lost and you don't know how far away things are. Just a great bit of immersion.

One I just found, which, imo, should be near the top 100 at least is MainMenu. It replaces the Main Menu "Load" option with a more SkyUI like interfaces that categorizes your saves by character.
I think that one gets passed up a lot because so many people using MOs profile feature

I'm testing Holidays right now. It's supposed to be solid, but I'm using JK's. One thing I did run into while FTing from city to city is that if I force Jester's Day, some revellers may FT with me. I dragged 4 from Solitude to Riverwood, 2 of those got FT'd with me to Whiterun, plus 3 Riverwood folks. I don't FT ever while playing so if this is the only issue I'm good.
Holidays is fine, if you're fast travelling over and over, you may be bypassing the holiday check because fast travel skips so much time.
With JKs its all good, theres a few issues in Dawnstar, but no major ones in any of the other cities
I don't normally FT at all, this was just for testing city to city. I didn't try Dawnstar, Morthal, or Falkreath but everything else looks okay so far.
Another one, while not necessarily underrated, I think is passed over by many without realizing what they're missing. That's Civil War Overhaul. We've all played the Vanilla and we all went, "meh". And I think that "meh" stayed with the majority of us. I think, because of this "meh" a lot of us just skip it, ignore it, or trudge through it (it's really not possible to get a modicum of decent RP out of vanilla CW). And I think this keeps some people from trying CWO. If you haven't tried it, you should. What happens when city guards find a traitor/spy in their midst? Why aren't those encampments raided by the opposition? Add in Immersive Patrols and man... you can really now feel the Civil War, see the things only mentioned third-hand as offside comments from NPCs.

In my current playthrough, I'm playing as a Bosmer (Faendal's cousin), who finds himself dragging Faendal along (and getting him killed) on a quest for a Golden Claw. Having spent his whole life in Valenwood, Skyrim is complete culture shock, but the draw and excitement of adventure has sucked him in. He has no clue what's going on with Stormcloaks and Imperials, and intends to stay out of it, just watching what's going on. At some point, as the Dragonborn, he may get sucked in, but for right now, he's just amazed at how brutal nords and imperials can be.
Kynesguard & Daedra Hunter Weapons and Armor,it only weighs less than 2,500 endorsements.

It changes my playstyle and character personality by 180 degrees.
"no more redshirts"... simply a BAT file that makes NPC's essential via console command (has to be done once, and you can also make them unessential again, whenever you want/need).

i tried all those "run for your lives", "when dragons/vampires attack" mods etc, this has basically the same outcome, but it`s without esp and scripts etc and works flawlessly for me

*edit, wrote "skirts" instead of "shirts" lol*

Tough call.

I really like Colorful Magic, on account of simply how much content it adds- hundreds of spells and items, and whole bunch of boss enemies and unique followers.

in terms of gameplay enhancement, I recently stumbled upon a lock-on system, dodging mod, and attack-parrying mod, that when all put in tandem makes a much more unique combat experience.
fusafusa projest, run for your lives, lock overhaul, 2spooky4me ghosts, subtle eye adaption to light, skeletons of daggerfell, softer conjuration sound, one with nature.

tamriel tree extended is also nice but it can be a bit hard to navigate / 2 invisible walls added to the world and some people will experience a fps drop. that aside it is really nice

It's simple and makes fighting undead more of a challenge.
