Holidays is fine, if you're fast travelling over and over, you may be bypassing the holiday check because fast travel skips so much time.
With JKs its all good, theres a few issues in Dawnstar, but no major ones in any of the other cities
In my current playthrough, I'm playing as a Bosmer (Faendal's cousin), who finds himself dragging Faendal along (and getting him killed) on a quest for a Golden Claw. Having spent his whole life in Valenwood, Skyrim is complete culture shock, but the draw and excitement of adventure has sucked him in. He has no clue what's going on with Stormcloaks and Imperials, and intends to stay out of it, just watching what's going on. At some point, as the Dragonborn, he may get sucked in, but for right now, he's just amazed at how brutal nords and imperials can be.

It changes my playstyle and character personality by 180 degrees.
i tried all those "run for your lives", "when dragons/vampires attack" mods etc, this has basically the same outcome, but it`s without esp and scripts etc and works flawlessly for me
*edit, wrote "skirts" instead of "shirts" lol*
I really like Colorful Magic, on account of simply how much content it adds- hundreds of spells and items, and whole bunch of boss enemies and unique followers.
in terms of gameplay enhancement, I recently stumbled upon a lock-on system, dodging mod, and attack-parrying mod, that when all put in tandem makes a much more unique combat experience.
tamriel tree extended is also nice but it can be a bit hard to navigate / 2 invisible walls added to the world and some people will experience a fps drop. that aside it is really nice

It's simple and makes fighting undead more of a challenge.
