FIXED - For some reason, Adrianne and Idolaf Battle-Born are running back to their homes when they start the conversation about the Imperials needing more swords. But I don't know why!
Last time I had to post on the Discussions asking for help about a glitch, it was a glitch about me being able to de decapitations without the required perks. But that's the situation right now. I now having another problem, but this time it's about that convesation that Adrianne and Idolaf Battle-Born had about the Imperial Scum needing more weapons. So I peacefully walked into Whiterun with a brand new character and normally, the first thing you'll see are those two having a conversation. But instead of a proper conversation, both Adrianne and Idolaf Battle-Born are running away as Idolaf is saying stuff like "Ha, I'd sonner bend my knee to Ulfric Stormcloak!" and "Besides, Gray-Mane would never make steel for the legion." as he is running back to his home. I just recently uninstalled Open Cities Skyrim so I'm guessing that's the problem but I would still like some help with this just in case that isn't what is going on... :steamsad:

It might be something like your Open Cities combined with a mod like Run for Your Lives or When Vampires Attack. It could be some other AI mod as well.

Because the City is open, there is probably a nearby enemy causing them to run for cover.

I do have both When Vampires Attack and Run For Yours Lives. But I got rid of Open Cities, so I highly doubt that there was an enemy nearby, unless it was vampires. But I'm only at around level 6 so I can't encounter vampire attacks in cities yet. I might get Open Cities Skyrim again and then see what happens! :steamfacepalm:
Open Cities Skyrim somehow solved the issue. Now Adrianne and Idolaf arn't running away like they're lives are on the line. :steamhappy:
Picture this, you're walking a well known hiking path. Now, all of a suddent, some god blinks and turns it into an unfamiliar hedge maze. That's what a mid-game uninstall of OC kind of does. I believe the best thing to do, if you want to uninstall it, would be to do it outside of any cities, in an interior, and then load then save and quit. Uninstall the mod. Load, then save, then quit. Load again, wait thirty days in game, save, quit. Load again and play. I think the NPC refresh is thirty days, but it could be ten. Thirty is to play it safe.

I uninstalled OCS before my playthrough so I don't know what happened. Anyway, it's fixed now!
