I'm Having Problems With the Tab Key in Skyrim

So, I'm fighting these enemies and they're actually slightly tough this time, so I press the [Tab] key to be able to get into my inventory. But, the problem I'm having with this is that when i DO press the tab key, Skyrim will close. When I get back into the game, the desktop mouse will appear and annoy the hell outta me.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't have a problem like this with any other game and no one else in the family knows what's going on either. :(

Use the I (i) key instead. Are you sure you do not accidently have the alt key pushed, alt key stuck on? Key binding changed? I wonder if the issue is the double cursur bug somehow? The mod called Onetweak should fix the double cursor issue.
