Configuring HOTAS

I'm having a lot of problems configuring my hotas joystick, is there any default seetings? The engine stick doesn't seem to be decteded either?

HOTAS is not supported (yet). You can play with a HOMAS configuration (Joystick + Mouse).

Configuring a HOTAS is still really janky. The menu systems seem to take inputs from the HOTAS instead of the mouse (Using an X52 Pro). So it seems to be sending random inputs that the game is not working well with, leading to a string of 'ESC' messages on the side when going in to configure inputs.

It would be REALLY helpful to have some configured defaults for HOTAS users as a way to get going quickly on it, rather than having to manually assign each control.

Edit: I realized too that using a HOTAS means it's really difficult/awkward to 'target' anything, even the ship seems to sit oddly instead of facing the reticle. If there was a binding for 'target', and some sort of way of indicating that targeting, then it might be an awful lot easier to play without the mouse and keyboard and this right-click drag kind of view thing going on.
