Game making tutorial
So, having played and loved game dev tycoon, I thought I'd be pretty good at this game to start out... I was wrong. I can't seem to make decent games, is there a guide somewhere please?

Thank you! Ya I was a little slow at first, The green area means the 'sweet spot' is somewhere in the green (probably), by doing post-mortems it makes the size smaller. That probably means doing alot of indie projects in a new genre. Question is it possible to divide up a single office into multiple projects?

Doing a lot of indie games will help you get better gauges.
A studio can work on only one project at a time.

If you want to see what's coming next, I invite you to have a look at the roadmap:

Or at least can I ask what the green bar and red bar mean? Thank you!

Hey,

if you have problems with the sliders there is an guide for it:

If you create Post-Mortems after you published your games, you will get information, too. So you will know the perfect slider setup in the later game-

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you Binogure! I always appreciate when a dev takes its time to listen to fans. So far I'm really enjoying the game alot. It's a happy inbetween between Game Dev Tycoon (which was a little too simple) and Software Inc (which is too focused on stuff that isnt game design). I will say though that I hope there will be tools in the future to manage multiple studios easier, maybe auto pause features when a studio is back from vacation. I also found myself a little overwhelmed by the number of different systems that where coming out, and underwhelmed by how little distinction was between them... I wish there was a little hint about, hey this game system is cheap and handheld (make kids puzzle games), this system is expensive and graphically intense...

I imagine though that its still way too early to expect that level of polish. I look forward to checking back into the game throughout the development!

Managing several studios is not simple atm,
I'm working on adding new feature as I'm trying to improve the UX. Allowing you to do more stuff with less clicks. So, it will be easier to manage several studios.

You're doing a great job so far! I'll see about making time to give it a positive review soon.
